Raving'89
In 1989 Gavin and his brother Neville, moved away from the skin head scene and bared witness to a cultural revolution. With his passion for capturing the human essence of what he was witnessing, Gavin began taking pictures at raves around the outskirts of London, documenting suburban kids indulging in this new and exciting cultural and musical revolution.
10 years ago Gavin compiled these eye opening photographs and published Raving ’89. To mark our exhibition to celebrate 30 years since the photos were taken, this book is available for the first time for 3 years. A deleted classic, Raving ’89 is available now for an extremely limited period.
