Momentarily Sacred
Whilst indulging in the archival practice of collecting plastic bags from a beauty shop in Wood Green that reminded her of Hedkandi illustrations from her childhood and documenting each confusing change of a sign outside a local church, Rosie began writing two short stories. âOMâ and âThe Man with the Owl City Tattooâ are about the often-comical encounters that can arise from provisional dating. This led to an interesting exploration of what we decide to hold dear and what we decide to let go of when getting to know a stranger. Rosie and Frankie decided to work on âMomentarily Sacredâ together as an act of making a permanent artefact about the feeling of impermanence. Pairing together Rosieâs short stories and Frankieâs artwork. Frankieâs art features distorted iconographies, cutesy motifs and commonly overlooked objects of interest, repurposed through scanning.
