Published to accompany the exhibition of the same title at Village, Manchester, from 19th December 2025 until February 8th 2026.
Featuring research and archive materials from Soft Skin Latexâs personal collection, re-contextualised alongside photographs by Emma Toma, and video stills by Gemma Pickerill. The archival collections presented as scanned and collaged imagery focus on a curated selection that inspired the themes within the exhibition. 'From The World of Strength is an exhibition presenting new works in the form of latex garments and photographic prints examining themes of strength, gender and bondage.Â
Founded in 2018 by Gemma Pickerill, Soft Skin Latex is a latex clothing brand exploring the softer side of latex with influences from fetish culture and historical clothing. All garments are handmade in a London studio with an emphasis on high quality craftsmanship.
